Center for the Arts Campus Art 2018

Center for the Arts in Jackson, WY is seeking proposals from individual artists or small artist teams for The Center's Campus Exhibitions program. Several optimal locations on the campus lend themselves toward hosting installations and sculpture, including The Center Courtyard, The Center Sculpture Pad, The Center Park, and alternative spaces on campus.

This is a high visibility, high traffic opportunity, with more than 100,000 audience members attending events in and around The Center campus every year. The Center is looking for innovative work that uses unique spaces in refreshing ways and makes the campus vibrant.

The jury will evaluate proposals based on: impact of the artwork on an aesthetic level; appropriateness of the scale of the artwork; relationship of the work to the site and The Center's greater community, especially how it serves to activate or enhance public space; relevance of the piece to both The Center and the larger community, including Jackson's values, culture, and people; and suitability of the work for outdoor display, including its maintenance and conservation requirements. Applicants must address feasibility, including installation and de-installation plans, potential impacts on infrastructure, engineering requirements, and safety considerations.

Applicants may submit up to 3 applications. Work samples must include a minimum of 3 and maximum of 7 images, with a total of 6-7 samples. Audio and video samples are optional (0-6 each).
