About This Call
Photography Now is CPW's annual juried survey exhibition of photography, celebrating the plurality of photographic techniques and approaches. All photographic methods are welcome, including analog and digital, fine art, directorial, narrative, documentary, political, social justice, identity, portrait, landscape, still life, mixed media incorporating photography, photographic installations, and digital imaging and collage. The exhibition is open to international photographers.
Submissions must include 6-10 images uploaded to CAFE specifications, a bio (up to 1,000 characters), and an artist statement (up to 3,000 characters). Entry fees are $35 for students and seniors (age 65 and up) with current ID, or $50 for general entry. An additional $15 allows submission of up to 4 more images (10 total). Current CPW members receive a $15 coupon code. Students must upload a clear scan or photo of the front and back of a current, dated student ID confirming full-time enrollment. Seniors (65 and older) must upload a government-issued ID showing birth date.
The juror is Elizabeth Ferrer, Vice President of Contemporary Art at BRIC in Brooklyn. Selected works will be exhibited in CPW's gallery in late fall 2018. One print will be chosen and purchased for CPW's Permanent Print Collection, held at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art at SUNY New Paltz and CPW. Results will be announced in April, and selected participants will receive instructions on submission requirements for the exhibition.
