Center for Photography at Woodstock: Photography Now 2017

Photography Now is CPW's annual call for entries with exhibition and purchase prize. The exhibition celebrates the plurality of photography, welcoming all photographic techniques and approaches including straight photography, fine art, narrative, documentary, landscape, social issues, still life, mixed media incorporating photography, photographic installations, and digital imaging and collage.

Submissions are accepted through callforentry.org only. Applicants may submit either 10 images for $50 or 20 images for $75 (which includes a one-year CPW membership or renewal). A bio (up to 1,000 characters) and artist statement (up to 3,000 characters) are required. Full-time students and seniors (age 65 and up) receive a $20 discount with proof of eligibility. Minimum 6 images and maximum 20 images must be submitted. The deadline is January 30, 2017, at 11:59pm Mountain Time.

William Ewing, former Director of Exhibitions at the International Center of Photography and Director of the Musée de l'Elysée, will select the winning entries. Selected artists will have their work exhibited in CPW's gallery in late fall of 2017. One photographer will be selected for the Directors' Purchase Prize, with their print purchased for CPW's Permanent Print Collection held at the Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art at SUNY New Paltz. Results will be announced in late April or early May.
