About This Call
The Center for Photographic Art announces the 2019 Members' Juried Exhibition. New or current CPA members working in all still two-dimensional photographic media are welcome to enter. There is no theme; any two-dimensional subject matter is eligible. The exhibition offers $2,000 in awards, including five Jurors' Awards of $400 each.
Submission period runs February 5 through March 19, 2019, 11:59pm Mountain Time (10:59pm Pacific). To enter, you must be a CPA member. The entry fee is $25 for the first image, with additional entries at $10 each (up to 20 total images). Submit 1-20 images via the CallForEntry online system. Images must be 1920 pixels (longest dimension) at 72 ppi, 8-bit JPEG, AdobeRGB profile, not exceeding 5MB. Remove any visible names, titles, or watermarks. Each image must be titled; "Untitled" is not allowed.
Forty-five images selected by jurors will be exhibited in the CPA gallery in Carmel, CA, and featured in an online gallery. Up to an additional forty-five images will be selected for the online gallery only. All selected images will be published in the 2019 Members' Juried Exhibition catalog. All entrants will be notified via email after April 3, 2019. For invited gallery artists, artwork must arrive at CPA no later than Thursday, April 18, 2019. Gallery pieces must be ready-to-hang, not exceeding 30 inches on the long side and weighing less than 10 pounds. Framed pieces must use acrylic Plexiglas only (no glass). Stretched canvas and flush-mounted metal prints are welcome. Matted but unframed work will not be displayed. Ship via FedEx or UPS only; include a prepaid return-shipping label. The exhibition runs April 27 – June 1, with an opening reception and awards presentation on April 27. For assistance, email [email protected].
