Center for Photographic Art - 2019 International Juried Exhibition

The Center for Photographic Art announces the 2019 International Juried Exhibition with $6,000 in awards. Forty-five juror-selected photographs will be exhibited from November 2 through December 21 in the historic gallery in Carmel, California, and compete for eight cash awards: First Place $2,500, Second Place $1,500, Third Place $1,000, and four awards of merit at $250 each. These photographs will also be featured in an online gallery on the CPA website along with an additional forty-five juror-selected images. An exhibition catalog of the entire gallery and online exhibition will be available for purchase.

The 2019 juror is Paula Tognarelli, Executive Director and Curator of the Griffin Museum of Photography in Winchester, Massachusetts. The exhibition is open to all living photographers worldwide over the age of 18, working in all still photographic media. There is no theme; any subject matter is eligible. Photographs accepted for previous CPA IJE gallery or online exhibitions are not eligible. Submissions must include a minimum of 3 images and a maximum of 20 images. Early submission period (July 19 - August 22): $50 for CPA members, $75 for non-members. Regular entry period (August 23 - September 16): $75 for CPA members, $100 for non-members. Additional images beyond the first three cost $10 each.

Submission period runs Tuesday, July 19 through Monday, September 16, 11:59 PM Mountain Time. All entries must be submitted through the CallForEntry (CaFE) online entry system. Image specifications: 1920 pixels (long dimension) at 72 ppi, AdobeRGB(1998) profile, saved as 8-bit JPEG, not exceeding 5MB. Artists selected for the gallery exhibition must deliver framed artwork by October 24, 2019. Framed pieces must have the long dimension no larger than 30 inches, be glazed with acrylic (not glass), weigh less than 10 pounds, and include a wire hanging system.
