About This Call
The Center for Photographic Art invites submissions for the 2016 CPA Members' Juried Exhibition. The exhibition is open to all current CPA Members working in all still photographic media. There is no theme; any subject matter is eligible. You may join and enter as a new member by paying the $65.00 entry fee, which includes both entry and membership. If you are already a CPA member, you may use a Member's Discount Coupon to receive the member's rate on the first image entry fee.
Submit between 1 and 10 images. Entry fees are $65 for the first image and $10.00 for each additional image. The juror, Heather Snider (Executive Director of San Francisco Camerawork), will select approximately 45 images for exhibition in the CPA gallery at the Sunset Center in Carmel, CA, as well as an online gallery. An additional selection of images may be chosen as Honorable Mentions. All selected images will be included in the 2016 Members' Exhibition catalog. The jurying period is May 10 to May 20, with artist notification on May 20, 2016.
Accepted work must arrive at CPA by Friday, June 3, 2016. Artwork must be ready-to-hang and framed (no unframed work accepted), with the long dimension no larger than 30 inches. Frames must be glazed with acrylic Plexiglas only—no glass. Finished pieces must weigh less than 10 pounds and include installed hanging hardware on the back. Work can be dropped off and picked up at the CPA Gallery from Noon to 4:00 pm, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, or shipped via Federal Express or UPS. If shipping, use sturdy, reusable packaging and include a return shipping label and check to cover return shipping costs. While work is in CPA's possession, it will be insured for replacement cost.
