Center for Contemporary Arts National Juried Competition

The Center for Contemporary Arts presents the 3rd Annual National Juried Art Show & Competition. The show runs September 13 - November 2, 2019 in Abilene, TX.

This national competition is open to all artists 21 years of age and over. Submitted artwork must not have been shown previously at the Center for Contemporary Arts and must not be over 3 years old. Original 2 and 3-dimensional art in the following media are accepted: oil, watercolor, scratch board, acrylic, gouache, alkyd, tempera, mixed media, pastel, pencil, pen & ink, aquatint, bronze, wood, ceramic, photography, fiber, and digital art. Wall-mounted works must not exceed 50" in height or width. Sculpture boundaries should not exceed 36 inches in any direction with a weight limit of 50 lbs.

Entry fee is $35 per image with a maximum of three images submitted. The submission deadline is August 19, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. All accepted artwork must be hand-delivered or shipped to the CCA by August 30, 2019. Artwork should be framed, wired, and ready to hang. All shipping charges are at the artist's expense. The CCA retains 20% of any artwork sold as a donation, with 80% remitted to the artist. Juror is Gary Bukovnik.
