Centennial Mural Project - Finalists Renderings

This is the first mural project of its kind in the City of Centennial. The project is unique because finalists' work will be reviewed by citizens of Centennial who have volunteered to review and assist in selecting the art for their community. Over 45 judges are participating. The mural will be viewed by 2,000+ people per week who utilize the Big Dry Creek Trail.

There are 4 panels that are 10'x17'. The application is open to either one artist completing all 4 panels or multiple artists completing one or more panels. You can apply twice: submit one application for single panel designs and a second application for the full design of 4 panels. The circle in the middle of the bridge is reserved for the City of Centennial Logo.

The budget is $5,000 for all 4 panels plus a stipend for supplies. The City of Centennial will provide an artist's agreement. Installation is anticipated from August 15th - September 15th, with an unveiling celebration planned for the week of September 16th (weather permitting). The City of Centennial's Public Works Department will assist with site access and provide necessary platforms. Eligibility is limited to Colorado artists. Finalists must submit an artist statement expressing how they incorporated Centennial's values into their art and may describe what they hope visitors along the trail will experience with their work. Submit 1-8 images.
