Celestial Dreams: Artistic Impressions of Space

Celestial Dreams: Artistic Impressions of Space is an exhibition open to all artists who live or work in Colorado. Artists are invited to explore any and all themes relating to space, including subject matter depicting time, dimensions, light, color, wormholes, and cosmonauts. The exhibition will run concurrently with solo shows by Valkarie Resident artists Robert Bell and Josh Davy.

Submissions will be juried by Valkarie Member Robert Bell, Colorado Artist and Muralist. The entry fee is $30 for up to 3 original pieces. Artwork must be original in concept, not copied from another artist's work, and no AI art will be accepted. Maximum artwork size is 24" x 30". Submissions must include 1-3 JPEG images (minimum 1920 pixels on longest side, 72 ppi/dpi, maximum 5 MB each) of the final artwork, correctly oriented with no digital enhancement.

Entry deadline is March 22nd, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified by March 31st, 2025. The exhibition runs April 10 - May 4th, 2025, with an opening reception on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 from 5-8:30pm. Accepted artwork must be dropped off at Valkarie Gallery (445 S Saulsbury St, Lakewood, CO 80226) on Saturday, April 5th or Sunday, April 6th between 12-5pm. All artwork must be protected with bubble wrap and plastic and include the artist's name and title. Sold artwork will incur a 30% commission. Prices quoted on the entry form may not be changed after acceptance. Purchased artwork must remain in the gallery until the exhibition closes. Artists will be notified by email of sales and receive payment within one month of the exhibition's close.
