Celebrating Women

To commemorate women's day 2023, artists are invited to apply to Celebrating Women at the Kavanagh Gallery. The artwork in this show will celebrate the essence, the variety and the many accomplishments of women that have made a positive influence on society as well as on the artists on a more personal level. This all-media show is open to all artists 18 and over who reside in the United States.

Artists may submit up to 3 original pieces completed in the last three years. Work must not have been previously shown at Fine Line and must be for sale. Images must be of the actual work to be exhibited, and all applicants must submit an artist statement limited to 1000 characters. The entry fee is $35.00. Jury decisions are based on creativity, quality of artistry, and originality. Notification of jury decisions will be sent via email on or before January 14, 2023.

The show runs February 16 - March 24, 2023 at Kavanagh Gallery, Fine Line Creative Arts Center, 37w570 Bolcum Rd, St Charles, IL 60175. An in-person opening reception will be held February 16, 6-8 pm. The gallery is open Monday-Saturday, 10 am - 5 pm. Fine Line will handle installation, opening reception, and sales. A 30% sales commission applies to artwork sold during the show. Fine Line provides 24/7 security and insurance coverage (valued at 70% of sale price) from receipt of work until show's end. Artists are responsible for shipping costs and insurance during transit. $800 in prizes will be awarded.
