Celebrating PVAC Artist Groups 2017

Juried all-media exhibition hosted by and open for submission only to members of the Palos Verdes Art Center's seven active artists' groups: Artists Open Group, Pacific Arts Group, Paletteers, Palos Verdes Painters, Peninsula Artists, Photographic and Digital Artists, and Third Dimension. The exhibition runs July 21 to August 19, 2017. Juror: Max Presneill, MFA, LA-based artist and Curator/Director of Torrance Museum of Art.

Eligibility: Current member in good standing of PVAC and one of its seven affiliated art groups. Works that have been in previous PVAC exhibitions are not eligible. Entry fee is $35 for up to three entries (nonrefundable). Submit 1-9 images online by May 26, 2017. Selected works must be hand-delivered to the Palos Verdes Art Center main gallery on Friday, July 14, 2017, 9am-noon. Work in all media is eligible. Two-dimensional work maximum size 50"W x 60"H including frame; weight not to exceed 30 pounds. Three-dimensional works maximum 72 x 36 x 36 inches; weight not to exceed 150 pounds. All two-dimensional work must be ready for hanging with D rings and wire. Frames must be in good condition with no damage.

Awards: Total $1,000 in prizes including 1st Place $400, 2nd Place $300, 3rd Place $200, and two Honorable Mentions at $50 each. Memorial prizes awarded as available. PVAC takes a 25% commission on all sales of exhibited work. Insurance coverage applies only during the exhibition duration. Artwork must remain in the exhibition until Sunday, August 20, 2017.
