Celebrating Pastels 2026 Annual Juried Member Exhibition

The Austin Pastel Society invites members to submit work for the Celebrating Pastels 2026 Annual Juried Member Exhibition, running February 6–25, 2026 at A05 Gallery in Austin, TX.

Eligibility and Requirements: Open to all paid members of the Austin Pastel Society. Artists may submit up to three images for a $50 entry fee. Work must be minimum 80% soft pastel (no oil pastel). Paintings must be original, completed within the last two years, and not previously exhibited in any prior APS Annual Juried Exhibition or A05 Gallery exhibit. Work based on another artist's work, published materials, workshop instruction, photographs, optical projects, or digital assistance is not eligible. Representational, traditional, and abstract works are accepted; figural nudes in good taste are permitted. Maximum framed size is 40 inches in either direction. An award for an Emerging Pastel Artist is available to APS members who have not won an award in any pastel society exhibition.

Submission and Exhibition Details: Submit high-quality JPEG images at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images must be cropped to show only the artwork with correct orientation. All accepted work must be available for exhibition with no substitutions permitted. Artwork must be professionally framed and ready to hang using wire with two sturdy hangers. All work in the exhibition must be for sale, with the gallery retaining a 20% commission on sales.
