Celebrating Ocean Life

Location 1980 invites artists to submit original artwork for the exhibition "Celebrating Ocean Life," showcasing all things ocean including surfing, sunsets, marine life, and beach life. Artists may submit paintings, collages, photographs, or mixed media creations. Up to three submissions per artist are accepted. Original artwork only; no giclees or reproductions. Submissions must be made via Cafe.org only.

The exhibition runs September 1-29, 2017, with an opening reception on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. Art drop-off is Saturday, August 26, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m., and art pick-up is Saturday, September 30, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Artwork must be received ready to hang or display, including wires and hanging hardware, with a maximum weight of 50 lbs. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and must include a return shipping pre-paid postage label. Artwork should be mailed to My Art and Soul, 294 Santo Tomas, Costa Mesa, CA 92627.

The entry fee is $35.00. The work designated "Best In Show" will receive a Juror's Award ribbon and $100.00 cash prize and will be used as the cover of the exhibition catalog. Location 1980 retains 30% commission on any work sold during the exhibition. If artwork is selected, artists grant Location 1980 permission to use selected artwork for the catalog and promotion. All artwork must remain on display during the entire show.
