Celebrating Color

The Rhode Island Watercolor Society invites artists to submit work for an online exhibition running January 22 - February 25. This show is open to all artists in the United States working in 2D media, excluding photography and digital art. Acceptable mediums include watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oils, ink, casein, egg tempera, and other traditional watermedia materials. Work may be created on any 2D surface including watercolor paper, canvas, rice paper, illustration board, and wood.

Submit 1-3 digital images of your work. Entry fee is $15 per submission for non-members and $10 per submission for members. Work must not have been exhibited in a previous Rhode Island Watercolor Society juried show and must have been completed within the last 10 years. Work may not be copied from copyrighted material or partially or wholly painted by another artist. Submitted work must match the digital images provided and the size indicated in the submission form. Work may be listed as not for sale by entering 0 in the price section or contacting the gallery at [email protected].

If your piece is purchased through the online gallery, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society will receive 35% of the sale, and up to 50% of shipping costs will be provided at the gallery's discretion. No accepted entry may be withdrawn prior to the close of the exhibition. Prices indicated at submission may not be renegotiated.
