Celebrating American Craft 2025

Sarratt Gallery at Vanderbilt University invites professional craft-based artists to submit work for Celebrating American Craft 2025, an exhibition running September 8 – October 31, 2025. This call is open to all craft artists 18 years and older residing in the United States. Accepted mediums include clay, metals, wood, fiber arts, and glass. Works may range from functional to sculptural and should be made primarily of one of these craft mediums. Installation, video, and sound works are not accepted, and student work is not eligible.

Artists may submit up to 5 individual works created within the past five years. Images should be professionally photographed, in focus, and presented against a plain or ombre background. Each image should show one object only; detail pictures will count as separate entries. Please provide materials and techniques used with each entry. The jury panel will score submissions and invite top-scoring artists to exhibit. Works may be for sale or from collections (NFS).

Invited artists are responsible for shipping costs to the gallery; return shipping will be paid by the gallery. Artists may also deliver and pick up work at their own expense. Sarratt Gallery will handle all sales transactions and retain a 30% commission on any sales during the exhibition. The entry fee is $25.00. Important dates: Call for entries May 12 – July 4, 2025; jury process July 7–11, 2025; jury announcement July 16–18, 2025; gallery agreements sent July 23, 2025; artists ship work to arrive August 25–29, 2025; work returned to artists November 5–12, 2025.
