Celebrate Summit

Entries must be from artists who reside in Summit County, Colorado. The committee seeks a broad variety of mediums and intends to display the work of many artists. Chosen works will be placed in the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center lobby and education corridor. Unique and high quality art is sought that resonates with the community and enhances the experiences of all who visit the SPAC.

All selected work must be delivered to the SPAC the week of May 21. Artist is responsible for artwork transportation and delivery. Artwork must be created offsite and be ready for display upon delivery, including appropriate framing, mounting and hanging brackets. Artists notified of selections on May 11. Contracts signed May 16. Art displayed June 1-July 29. Art removed July 30-31.

The honorarium for each work selected is $200. Expenses beyond the honorarium may be eligible for reimbursement from the Town if pre-approved and directly related to the exhibit. An artist reception will be held on Wednesday, June 13 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center. Artists are encouraged to participate in a First Friday event by creating a demonstration or educational session related to their work; a stipend of $120 per artist will be paid for participation. Exhibited work can be for sale if the artist chooses; a 10% commission will be paid to the Town for artwork sold during the exhibition. Printed information will be displayed listing the artist and materials. The artwork should be safe for display in a public facility that hosts users of all ages. Entry fee: $10.00. Submit 1-3 images.
