CELEBRATE ART -- OPEN CALL / NO THEME

The MVA Gallery (Modern Visual Arts) invites artists and photographers of all levels (emerging to established) to submit original 2D artwork to this exhibition. This is a national open call with no theme restrictions—any style or subject matter is welcome. Accepted mediums include painting, watercolor, printmaking, mixed media, digital, fiber, drawing, and photography.

The MVA Gallery is located in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, one hour from New York City. Entry fee is $35.00 for 3 images, with additional images available for $5.00 each up to a maximum of 9 images. All images must be JPG format, under 5 MB, with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. Artwork must be 2D, professionally finished, and ready for secure installation. Framed pieces must be equipped with stretched wire; gallery-wrapped paintings are acceptable. Pieces should not exceed 45 inches (framed) on the longest side or weigh more than 40 lbs. Photographs should be framed with white or off-white mats only, and black or white frames are preferred.

Entry deadline is November 15, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Artists will be notified by November 19, 2021. Exhibition dates are December 10, 2021 - January 16, 2022. All accepted artwork must arrive at the gallery by December 6, 2021 via UPS or FedEx (no hand-delivered work accepted). Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and insurance. A prepaid return shipping label must be enclosed with artwork. Awards include First Prize ($400) and Second Prize ($200). One artist will be selected from all accepted artists during the calendar year for an exhibition opportunity in New York City. Artists retain all rights to their work and receive 70% of sales; the gallery receives 30%. All artwork must remain in the gallery for the full exhibition duration.
