CELEBRATE ART -- OPEN CALL: Holiday Exhibit at MVA Gallery

The MVA Gallery (Modern Visual Arts) invites artists and photographers of all levels to submit original artwork to this national open call exhibition. Any theme, style, or subject matter is welcome. The gallery accepts painting, watercolor, printmaking, mixed media, digital, pastel, encaustic, sculpture, fiber, drawing, and photography. Only 2D artwork will be included in the exhibit. No reproductions or derivatives of other artists' work will be accepted.

The MVA Gallery is located in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in the third largest metropolitan area in the state. The gallery attracts experienced collectors, art lovers, and first-time art buyers, with increased sales during the holiday season. Entry fee is $35.00 for 3 images, with additional images at $5.00 each up to 9 maximum. All images must be JPEG format, under 5 MB, with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. Artwork must be professionally finished and ready for installation with stretched wire attached to the back. Pieces should not exceed 48 inches (framed) on the longest side or weigh more than 45 lbs. Photographs should be framed with black or white frames preferred, with white or off-white mats only.

Jurors and curators will select work for the exhibition. Awards include First Prize $450, Second Prize $250, and Third Prize $100. One artist will be selected from all accepted artists during the calendar year for an exhibition opportunity in New York City. Exhibition dates are December 3, 2022 through January 5, 2023. Artists will be notified by November 7, 2022. Accepted artwork must arrive by November 29, 2022. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and insurance. A prepaid return shipping label must be enclosed with shipped work. The gallery retains 30% commission on sales; artists receive 70%. All artwork must remain in the gallery for the full exhibition duration.
