Celebrate Art -- Open Call 2023

The MVA Gallery (Modern Visual Arts) invites artists, photographers, and sculptors of all levels to submit original artwork to this exhibition. This is a national open call with no limitations on theme, style, or subject matter. The gallery accepts painting, watercolor, printmaking, mixed media, digital, pastel, encaustic, sculpture, fiber, drawing, and photography.

The MVA Gallery is located in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in the third largest metropolitan area in the state. The gallery attracts experienced collectors, art lovers, and first-time art buyers, with increased sales expected during the holiday season. Entry fee is $35.00 for 3 images, with additional images available for $5.00 each up to a maximum of 9 images. All images must be submitted as JPEG files under 5 MB with a minimum of 1200 pixels on the longest side. Artists should include title, medium, size, price, and year of completion for each work.

Accepted artwork must arrive by November 20, 2023, and will be displayed from December 6, 2023 through January 10, 2024. Artwork must be professionally finished and equipped with stretched wire for hanging. Maximum dimensions are 48 inches (framed) on the longest side and 45 lbs for paintings; sculptures should not exceed 24 inches on any dimension. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and insurance. An "Art of Distinction" Award will be granted, and one artist will be selected for an exhibition opportunity in New York City. For sales, the artist receives 70% of the final sale price and the gallery receives 30%.
