CCAN 2024: 8th Annual National Juried Art Competition & Exhibition

The Center for Contemporary Arts invites artists 21 years of age and over to submit original work for the 8th Annual National Juried Art Competition & Exhibition (CCAN 2024). The exhibition runs October 4 – November 16, 2024, with a reception and awards ceremony on October 5 from 3:00-5:00 PM.

Eligible work must be original, produced within the last three years, and include 2D and 3D art only. Wall-mounted 2D work cannot exceed 48" in the longest dimension when framed. 3D wall-hung work cannot exceed 36x36". Freestanding indoor work cannot exceed 3 feet in any dimension. Weight limit is 50 lbs. All traditional media and 2D digital art are accepted; video and mural work are not accepted. Entry fees are $35 for the first image and $20 for each additional entry, with a limit of three entries per artist. Submissions must include 1-3 images or, for 3D work, up to 3 video submissions showing multiple angles. Selected artwork must arrive at the Center by September 15, 2024. The Center retains 20% of any artwork sold and remits 80% to the artist.

Awards include Best of Show ($1,000), Jurors Award ($750), and 1st Place awards ($500 each) in 11 categories including Oil, Watercolor, Pastel/Dry Media, Acrylic, Collage/Mixed Media, Photography, Digital Art, Printmaking, Fiber/Textiles, Sculpture, and Functional Ceramics. Juror Adela Andea is a light installation artist and sculptor known for large-scale immersive installations using advanced technologies.
