CCAN 2023: Center for Contemporary Arts 7th Annual National Juried Art Competition & Exhibition

The Center for Contemporary Arts invites artists to submit work for its 7th Annual National Juried Art Competition & Exhibition. The exhibition will run from September 8 – October 28, 2023, with a public reception and awards ceremony on September 9 from 3:00-5:00 PM.

Eligibility: This national competition is open to all artists 21 years of age and over. All work must be original and produced within the last three years. Accepted formats include original 2D and 3D art only. Wall-mounted 2D work should not exceed 48" in the longest dimension when framed. 3D wall-hung work cannot exceed 36x36". Freestanding indoor work cannot exceed 3 feet in any dimension. Weight limit is 50 lbs. All traditional media and 2D digital art are accepted; video and mural work are not accepted. Submissions must be made through CaFÉ by July 29, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fee is $35 for one image, with additional entries at $20 each (limit of three entries per artist). Work samples should include 1-3 images and up to 2 videos (5 total samples maximum).

Selected artwork must be hand-delivered or shipped to arrive at the Center by August 26, 2023. All shipping charges are the artist's responsibility. Artwork must be dry, ready to install, and have hardware installed for immediate installation. The Center prefers entries for sale and retains 20% of the selling price, remitting 80% to the artist. Awards total $6,250, including Best of Show ($1,000), Jurors Award ($750), and category-specific 1st Place awards ($500 each). The juror is Letitia Huckaby.
