CCAN 2022: Center for Contemporary Arts National Juried Competition

The Center for Contemporary Arts invites submissions for its 6th Annual National Juried Art Show & Competition. This national competition is open to all artists 21 years of age and over. All work must be original and produced within the last three years.

Eligible work includes original 2D and 3D art in all traditional media and 2D digital art. Video and mural work are not accepted. Wall-mounted 2D work should not exceed 48" in the longest dimension when framed and installed. 3D wall-hung work cannot exceed 36x36". Freestanding indoor work cannot exceed 3 feet in any dimension. All artwork has a weight limit of 50 lbs. Entry fees are $35 for one image, with additional entries at $20 each (limit 3). For 3D entries, video submissions may be included instead of still images. Submissions must be made through CaFÉ by August 20, 2022. Selected artwork must be hand-delivered or shipped to the Center by September 17, 2022. The exhibition runs September 30 – November 26, 2022, with a reception and awards ceremony on October 1 from 3:00-5:00 PM.

The juror is Colette Copeland, a multi-media visual artist and cultural critic. Awards include Best of Show ($1,000), Jurors Award ($750), and 1st Place awards ($500 each) in categories including 2D Oil, Watercolor, Pastel/Dry Media, Acrylic, Collage/Mixed Media, Photography, Digital, Printmaking, Fiber/Textiles, 3D Sculpture, and Functional Ceramics.
