About This Call
Coconino Center for the Arts (CCA) invites exhibition proposals from artists, curators, and cultural organizations for rolling review by the CCA Exhibitions Selection Committee. CCA is central to Northern Arizona's vibrant creative culture and serves the arts, science, and cultural sectors of Flagstaff. The organization's facilities include a 4000 sq ft Main Gallery, an adjacent 215 sq ft Project Gallery, and an intimate 200-seat Theater. CCA is located on US 180 in route to the Grand Canyon.
The Main Gallery hosts 3-4 major exhibitions annually, with a rotation of 4-6 exhibitions in the Project Gallery. Interdisciplinary proposals that include digital media or installation elements are encouraged. Applicants must submit an exhibition proposal including theme and description, relevance to CCA's mission and vision, and calendar availability (1-2 pages); biography or organizational description (1-2 paragraphs); resume including recent and upcoming exhibition record (2 pages); and representative work examples (up to 10 total samples: 10 images, 6 audio, 6 video). A website is optional.
The application fee is $10 and is non-refundable. Flagstaff Arts Council will retain a 30% commission on all sales after processing fees. Accepted exhibitions will be executed in collaboration with the Exhibitions Director. The artist is responsible for all delivery and return shipping arrangements and costs, including insurance during transit. Any accepted work delivered for exhibition that differs significantly in quality or concept from the submitted works may not be accepted. Open to all artists, 18 and older.
