About This Call

Castles in the Sky is the 2nd Annual Juried Members Exhibition at Hill-Stead Museum, themed around dreams, musings, and fantasies brought to life in artmaking. The exhibition runs from May 15 to June 29, 2025.

Eligibility: National and international artists 18 years or older with current Hill-Stead Museum membership. Original works accepted in all media. Up to three works per artist may be submitted, with a maximum of one work per artist selected for exhibition. Entry fee is $20.00, with an additional $10.00 media fee per piece. Current museum membership ($50.00) is required to be eligible.

Submission Requirements: All submissions must be made through CaFÉ (www.callforentry.org) by March 28, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Two-dimensional work must be framed and ready for installation with hanging hardware already installed; work cannot exceed 60 inches in any dimension or 50 pounds. Three-dimensional work cannot exceed 48 inches in any dimension and should be accompanied by a pedestal or be ready for freestanding display; work cannot exceed 100 pounds. Installations are not accepted. Prohibited materials include glitter, wet paint, sharp objects, open flames, balloons, sprays, dangerous chemicals, weapons, pressurized containers, plants, animals, hazardous materials, and decaying materials. Selected works must be delivered by May 7, 2025. Shipped artwork must include return postage. Hill-Stead Museum will not be responsible for damage to artwork. Sales of selected work are encouraged but not required; the Museum will provide artist contact information to interested buyers but will not serve as a third party for sales and will not deduct a commission.
