About This Call
CASPFEST: National Juried Exhibition is a national juried art exhibition presented by Charles Adams Studio Project. The exhibition is juried by Christina Rees, Editor-in-Chief of Glasstire. The inaugural two-night festival of art, film, and music takes place April 26-27, 2019, at 5&J Gallery (1106 5th Street, Lubbock, TX 79401). The exhibition opens April 26 at 7pm with a juror talk and awards presentation at 8:30pm. Exhibition hours are April 26, 7pm-11pm and April 27, 1pm-11pm.
The call is open to artists living and working in the United States. Artists may submit original 2D work in any media (painting, prints, drawings, photography, mixed media, digital images, video) or original 3D work in any media. All work must be produced within the last two years. 2D work should not exceed 60" in the longest dimension when framed. Indoor 3D work cannot exceed 60" x 48" x 48" or 50lbs. Outdoor 3D work must be freestanding with proper base for installation, and the artist must complete installation. Artists may submit up to three JPGs, up to three videos, or a combination representing up to three different artworks. The digital image submitted must be the piece delivered if selected. Entry fee is $25 per application (1-3 artworks). All artists who submit receive free passes to both nights of events.
Applications are due by 11:59pm March 31, 2019. Applicants will be notified by email by end of day April 8, 2019. Artwork must be delivered or shipped between April 15-22, 2019. Best In Show receives a solo exhibition opportunity at 5&J Gallery during the 2020 season, plus cash prizes.
