CASPFEST: National Juried Exhibition

Presented by Charles Adams Studio Project, CASPFEST is a celebration of art, film, poetry, and music that showcases exceptional contemporary arts. The national art exhibition is juried by Amos Paul Kennedy, Jr., a letterpress printer, papermaker, and builder of artist's books based in Detroit, Michigan. This is the second annual event and will take place at the 5&J Gallery in Lubbock, Texas (1106 5th Street, Lubbock, TX 79401) with virtual accessibility.

The exhibition runs October 17 – November 20, 2020, with an opening reception on October 17 at 1 PM and a juror talk and awards presentation at 8 PM. CASPFEST is open to artists ages 16 and older living and working in the United States. Artists will be selected based on submitted works. All artwork must be original and completed within the last two years (no work from before 2018). The entry fee is $15 for 1-3 artworks. Applicants must submit 1-3 digital images of their work.

2D work must not exceed 60 inches in the longest dimension when framed. 3D indoor work cannot exceed 60" x 48" x 48" or 50 lbs. All work must hang on a wall, be freestanding, or artists must provide shelves; no pedestals will be available. Artwork must be ready-to-exhibit with hardware installed for immediate installation. Accepted artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the gallery. Artwork is due by October 7, 2020, with pickup/return November 21-23 and shipped return November 23-25. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by September 1, 2020. Cash prizes will be awarded. Charles Adams Studio Project does not insure work during transit or display; artists exhibit at their own risk.
