Casa Bonita - Wish You Were Here

NEXT Gallery is hosting the 4th Annual Casa Bonita Art Show. This exhibition asks artists to submit work that directly relates to the iconic Colorado restaurant Casa Bonita, a 52,000 sq-ft restaurant in Lakewood on West Colfax Avenue that has been in operation since 1974. The "Wish You Were Here" show will be a collection of memories, inspirations, or future visions of Casa Bonita. Casa Bonita's doors are currently closed, along with countless other businesses.

The exhibition runs from February 19 through March 7, 2021. Cash prizes will be awarded: Best in Show $250, Second Place $100, Third Place $50, and People's Choice $50. Jurors are Andrew Novick (Casa Bonita Aficionado) and Dolla B. All mediums are accepted. Work samples may include up to 2 images, 1 audio file, and 1 video file (minimum 1 sample, maximum 2 total samples required). Entry fee is $30 per entry. Eligibility is national.

Works must match the image that was juried and must be dry and ready to hang with wires in good shape and professional presentation. All events and gallery setup will follow CDC guidelines. Local artists may drop off work on February 14-16, 2021. Out-of-state art must be received by February 16, 2021. Accepted artists will be notified by email no later than February 10, 2021. Artwork must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibit. NEXT Gallery will collect a 30% commission on sales. Unsold artwork must be picked up between March 7-14, 2021. Out-of-state artists are responsible for return shipping costs.
