Cary Photographic Artists 16th Annual Open Juried Photographic Exhibit

Cary Photographic Artists announces its 16th Annual Open Juried Photographic Exhibit. This competitive exhibition is open to all photographers over the age of 18. Up to 50 mounted and framed juried images will be selected and displayed October 24, 2023 through December 15, 2023 at the Cary Senior Center, 120 Maury Odell Place, Bond Park (off High House Road), Cary NC 27513.

The exhibit features two categories: Monochrome and Color. Only mounted and framed images will be judged. Artists may submit up to 3 entries in any combination of color and monochrome through CaFE. The entry fee is $40.00 for up to three images. Prints must be delivered to the Cary Senior Center between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm on Monday, October 23, 2023. Notification of accepted images will be made by phone the evening of Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Artists whose images are not accepted must pick up their work on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm. A reception with juror comments and awards presentation will begin at 6:00 pm Friday, October 27, 2023.

Awards include: Bobbi Hopp Best in Show ($400), and in each category—First Place ($200), Second Place ($125), Third Place ($75), and three Honorable Mentions. All photographic processes are acceptable as long as the photographic process is dominant. No AI or Generative Fill generated images will be accepted. Canvas wraps and prints on wood, metal, foam core, or other surfaces are acceptable. Framed image size cannot exceed 33 inches on the longest edge. Work accepted into prior CPA Juried Exhibitions is not permitted. Images must be properly wired for hanging with wire ends securely taped; sawtooth or alligator hangers are not permitted.
