Capturing Bliss

"Capturing Bliss" is a juried group art exhibition at the Vanessa Lacy Gallery running from February 8 - March 2, 2019. The exhibition seeks artwork about finding bliss in the now and living life to the fullest. The gallery is accepting any and all mediums and subjects that fit the "Capturing Bliss" theme. All artwork must be original and available for sale; reproductions will not be accepted, excluding photography. The judge is Teresa Dirks, a Kansas City artist. Gallery takes a 40% commission.

Submission deadline is January 14, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Entry fee is $10.00. Artists may submit up to 10 images and/or up to 3 audio files (minimum 1 total sample required). After jurying, accepted artists must deliver work to the gallery between January 30 and February 5, 2019 during business hours, or ship work to arrive by February 5, 2019. Any 2D artwork must be framed and wired or ready for installation. Out of town artists must include a return shipping label with shipped work.

The opening reception is Friday, February 8, 2019 from 5-9 p.m. The closing reception is March 2, 2019 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Artists must pick up work during the closing reception or by March 5 during gallery hours. The gallery is also seeking musicians to perform at the opening reception. Musicians may submit audio files of their recordings; jazz ambience style music is preferred. Budget for music is $100 for 6-8:30 p.m. on February 8, 2019 with 30 minutes of breaks, or musicians may perform 5-9 p.m. for the entire reception. A tip jar will be available for musician gratuity.
