Captured Through A Lens

SCORE (Southern California Open Regional Exhibitions) invites photographers to enter the Captured Through A Lens virtual exhibit. Both black and white and color photos are accepted. Photography will be juried using digital images (.JPGs).

Eligibility is open to all photographers worldwide. Work must have been created within the last three years and must be original and of the photographer's own execution. Entries must not have been shown at any previous SFVACC/SCORE exhibit. Photography created under the direct supervision of an instructor is not eligible. Once submitted, photography may not be substituted or withdrawn. All juried photography must remain online until the end of the exhibit.

Photography submissions are limited to six (6) original photos per photographer. All entries must be submitted as high resolution (1-5MB) digital .JPEG or .JPG files, either cropped to remove background or on a black background without a mat. Photos should not be taken through glass or Plexiglas. Entry fee is $35 for one entry, with up to 5 additional entries at $5 each. Fees are non-refundable and payment is made via credit card through CaFÉ. There is no guarantee of acceptance.

Awards include Best of Show ($800), 1st Place ($400), 2nd Place ($300), and up to four Honorable Mentions. The juror is Chris Davies, a Los Angeles-based publisher, gallery director, and founder of Fabrik Magazine. Entry deadline is September 6, 2022 at 11:59 pm MST. Acceptance notifications will be sent by September 10-12, 2022, and award winners will be notified by September 14, 2022. The exhibit opens October 1, 2022, with a virtual artists' reception on October 8, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 pm PST, and closes October 31, 2022. The exhibit will remain viewable on the SFVACC website Archived Exhibits page indefinitely after closing.
