About This Call
The Art Association of Jackson Hole invites artists, designers, craftworkers, and architects to submit work using glass to Captured Light Glass Biennial. The exhibition will be juried by Charlotte Potter, Joe Cariati, and Ralph Mossman.
Submit up to 5 images of work that could be shown in the exhibition. Participants may send multiple views of pieces but are limited to 5 images total. The entry fee is $35.00 and includes membership to the Art Association of Jackson Hole. Up to 2 applications per artist are allowed. The exhibition runs from December 5, 2014 through January 9, 2015.
Charlotte Potter is a conceptual artist and designer trained as a traditional glassblower who has pioneered glass as a performance and conceptual medium. She is the Glass Studio Manager and Programming Director at the Chrysler Museum of Art and teaches at Old Dominion University and Virginia Wesleyan College. Joe Cariati is a glassblower, designer, painter, and educator with over 20 years in the glass community. He owns and operates Joe Cariati Glass, a product-based company producing high-end luxury blown glass. Ralph Mossman studied glassblowing at Haystack Craft School, Penland Craft School, and Hampshire College. He and his wife, glass artist Mary Mullaney, built their own studio in Driggs, Idaho, and his work is featured in numerous collections and galleries across the country.
