Cape Cod Museum of Art - International Juried Exhibition 2024

This International Juried Exhibition will be held at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in the Hope/McClennen Exhibition Hall from April 18 - July 14, 2024. All artworks interpreting the theme "Departures" will be reviewed by internationally recognized artist, curator, and gallery owner Nick Lawrence. Three monetary prizes will be awarded: $500, $200, and $100.

The theme "Departures" is intended to be interpreted broadly. Artists are encouraged to submit artworks that exemplify a moment of departure from conventional styles or methods of creating. This may include a breakthrough piece that has led to a lasting stylistic change, a work that represents a departure from your typical body of work, or innovative works that broaden the definition of art itself.

Eligible media includes 2D and 3D work, drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, collage, assemblage, sculpture, and video. Entry fee is $25 per artwork, with up to five applications per artist. Each artwork must be submitted in a separate application. Maximum size for 2D work is 48" x 48" (including frame). Maximum size for free-standing 3D work is 72"h x 36"w x 36"d; for pedestal 3D work, 38"h x 24"w x 24"d. All 2D artwork must be suitably framed to professional standard or gallery wrapped. Submissions must include one high-resolution digital image (1-5mb) and/or one video, title, year completed, medium, dimensions, price if for sale, and artist statement (up to 2000 characters). Only original or limited edition works may be submitted. Hand delivery is Sunday, April 14 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, or shipped work must be received by April 15. Artwork selected for exhibition can be made available for sale with 60% of proceeds going to the artist and 40% to the museum. The exhibition will also be available virtually on the CCMoA website. Gallery talk with artists and awards announcement: Thursday, April 25 at 4:00 - 5:30 pm, followed by reception 5:30 - 7:00 pm. Notification of acceptance: Monday, April 1.
