About This Call
The Cape Cod Museum of Art invites artists to submit up to three works for this International Juried Exhibition, themed "In Tandem." The theme is intended to be interpreted broadly, exploring how two or more objects, mechanisms, people, or concepts work in conjunction with each other to achieve a desired result. Juror Peter Michael Martin, an internationally recognized artist, will select works for exhibition and award three pieces with monetary prizes of $500, $200, and $100.
Artwork selected for the exhibition can be made available for public sale, with 60% of proceeds going to the artist and 40% to the museum. The exhibition will be displayed at the museum's Bank of America / Robert Douglas Hunter exhibition hall and will also be available virtually on the CCMoA website. Exhibition dates are May 10 to July 30, 2023. A gallery talk with artists and reception will be held on Friday, May 19th from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m.
The call is open to artists working in 2D and 3D media, including drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, collage, assemblage, and sculpture. Only original or limited edition works may be submitted. Entry fee is $25 for the first artwork and $15 for each additional artwork, up to three total. Each application must include at least one high-resolution digital image (1-5mb), title, year completed, medium, dimensions, price if applicable, and an artist statement (up to 2000 characters). Maximum size for 2D work is 48" x 48" including frame; maximum size for free-standing 3D work is 72"h x 36"w x 36"d; maximum size for pedestal 3D work is 38"h x 18"w x 18"d. All 2D artwork must be professionally framed or gallery wrapped and securely wired. Accepted artwork must be delivered by May 7th or received by May 8th if shipped. Artists are responsible for delivery and return shipping costs.
