About This Call
CANCER: Never Give Up 2022 invites artists worldwide to create artworks that express their thoughts and feelings about cancer. Selected artworks will be published in The Book of Arts and showcased in an international online group exhibition by Gallerium. The exhibition runs from October 10 to November 11, 2022.
Artists are encouraged to provide artistic interpretations of the disease, how it has affected their lives, their feelings about those lost to cancer, or ways it has changed perspectives on life and harmony. All representational or abstract interpretations related to the concept are accepted. Artists working in any medium—including painting, drawing, illustration, printmaking, photography, digital art, sculpture, installation, and mixed media—can submit up to 5 original artworks. Artworks created within the last 5 years are preferred, though there is no limit on creation year. There is no size limit for submissions.
Selected artworks will be published in The Book of Arts: Cancer (available in free online and paid print-on-demand formats), with up to 5 artworks also featured in Observica contemporary art magazine. All selected artists receive a digital certificate, online profile page on the Biafarin platform, exhibition poster link, social media badges, and a detailed report with analytics on artwork views, comments, and engagement. Selected Biafarin Platinum members receive free artwork shipment for sales. Submission is free; selected artists pay a USD 40 selection fee. Up to 2 artworks may be selected per artist.
