About This Call
CANCER: Never Give Up 2021 is a dual artist call encouraging artists to provide artworks that display their thoughts and feelings about cancer. The selected artworks will be published in a magazine and showcased in an international exhibition. This opportunity is open to all visual artists worldwide working in 2 and 3-dimensional media, including painting, drawing, illustration, printmaking, photography, digital art, sculpture, and mixed media. All abstract or representational interpretations related to the Never Give Up concept are accepted. Artists can submit up to 5 original artworks, with a maximum of 2 artworks selected per artist.
Submission is free. Only selected artists will pay a selection fee of USD 40. Work sample requirements: minimum 1 image, maximum 5 images. Artworks must be entirely the work of the entrant and executed without supervision of an instructor. Artworks must not be copies or derivatives of other copyrighted or published work. Artists should have all rights for presenting and publishing artworks internationally. Artworks created within the last 5 years are preferred, though there is no limit for artwork creation year. There is no size limit for submitted artworks. Artworks that include pornography, violence, racial or religious hatred, or inappropriate or offensive content are not admissible.
Selected artworks will be published in The Book of Arts: Cancer publication, available in online and print-on-demand formats, and promoted internationally. Selected artworks will be exhibited online in the Cancer: Never Give Up international group art exhibition from November 12 to December 12, 2021. Each artist receives a digital exhibition poster link, social media promotional badges, an artist profile page on Biafarin platform, and a digital certificate. An exhibition press release will be published in art media, and artists will receive reports containing views, comments, engagement rates, and sales statistics.
