Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour 100th Anniversary Exhibition

The Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour presents its 100th Anniversary Exhibition at the Helson Gallery, a juried exhibition in water-based media. The Helson Gallery is located in the Halton Hills Cultural Centre, housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century Gothic Revival church. The gallery features rotating exhibitions highlighting both historical and contemporary art, including works by local, regional, national, and international artists. The gallery is home to the Helson Collection, artworks donated by Fred and Rose Anna Helson, including pieces by the Group of Seven, which was designated Cultural Property of National Significance in 2021.

The exhibition jury comprises two Elected CSPWC Members and one Guest Juror: Kara Bruce (Art Curator, Helson Gallery), Missy Acker (CSPWC, SAA), and Elizabeth Gilbert (President CSPWC). Awards are presented to artwork of exceptional quality in Sally Jarvis Sloan's honour through her bequest to the society. These awards are open to Canadian CSPWC Elected Members only.
