Camera Work: Trees and Water

Black Box Gallery is hosting a juried group photography exhibition on the theme of Trees and Water. The exhibition will feature contemporary photography exploring both subjects in dynamic and diverse ways. Water may include oceans, rivers, pools, fountains, rain, mist, fog, lakes, snow, and waves. Trees serve as powerful subjects of composition, providing strong visual foundations for exploring space and time. The gallery invites photographers to explore their technique and ideas within this theme.

Entry deadline is October 12, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Entry fee is $40.00. Photographers may submit 1-5 images. The exhibition will run November 1-20, 2022. The juror, Todd Johnson (founder and director of Black Box Gallery), will select 24 photographs for exhibition at the gallery and an additional 30 photographs for the online gallery annex. All 54 photographs will be included in a catalog available for purchase on Blurb Books.

Black Box Gallery provides free printing, matting, and framing for all exhibitions. Selected photographers must provide high-resolution TIFF or JPEG files. Prints are produced on an Epson Stylus Pro archival inkjet printer on Epson Premium Luster Photo paper in a color-calibrated environment. Exhibition prints will be kept in flat files after the show for future promotion and sale. Black Box Gallery takes a 50% commission on all sales, with 50% going to the photographer. All rights remain with the photographer, and no sale or printing will occur without prior consent. The gallery is open to all photographers internationally.
