About This Call

Camera USA 2017 is a national photography exhibition open to photographers residing in the United States. Submit one photograph taken in the USA after January 1, 2013. The exhibition will be held at the Naples Art Association, 585 Park Street, Naples, Florida from June 19 through August 4, 2017. Up to 50 photographers will have their work exhibited. The exhibition is free and open to the public, with gallery hours Monday through Friday from 10 am to 4 pm.

One photographer will receive the National Photography Award of $5,000. The award nominee will be notified by telephone or email on May 22, 2017. Award nominees must hand deliver their exhibit-ready photograph by 2 pm on May 20, 2017, or if shipped, the photograph must arrive at ARTMove LLC in Naples, Florida by May 15, 2017. Award nominees must also attend the June 16, 2017 preview reception by 6 pm EDT. Florida residents will receive up to $300 in travel reimbursement and up to three nights hotel accommodations. Out-of-state nominees will receive domestic round-trip economy class airfare for one person and three nights hotel accommodations (June 15-17).

Eligibility: Open to photographers residing in the fifty United States. One photograph per artist. Entry fee is $28 (non-refundable). Photographs must not have been previously exhibited at the Naples Art Association and must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition. Maximum overall dimensions (including frame) not to exceed 40 x 40 inches. All photographs must be delivered in exhibition-ready condition with proper hanging wire. Glass may be used only if the frame is 20 x 20 inches or smaller; larger frames must use Plexiglas or shatterproof glazing. An artist's statement and/or bio of not more than 2,000 characters is required. The jury process is blind, so do not include your name, website URL, or personally identifying information in your statement or bio. Jurors are David Houston (Director of the Bo Bartlett Center, Columbus State University, Georgia), Gary Monroe (Senior Professor, Southeast Center for Photographic Studies, Daytona State College, Florida), and Robin O'Dell (Curatorial Administrator and Manager of Photographic Collections, Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, Florida). Notifications will be posted on April 17, 2017.
