Call of the Wild 2023

SCORE (Southern California Open Regional Exhibitions) invites artists and photographers to explore their artistic relationship with flora and fauna in nature. Submissions should feature natural elements including insects, birds, and animals. The exhibition is open to all artists and photographers worldwide.

Artwork submissions are limited to six original artworks per artist in the following media: drawing, mixed media, collage, printmaking, fiber art, photography, painting, digital art, and sculpture. Work must have been created within the last three years and must be original and of the artist's own execution. Entries must be submitted as high-resolution digital .JPEG files (1-5MB) either cropped to remove background or on a black background without a mat. One entry costs $35, with up to five additional entries at $5 each. Entry deadline is April 2, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Acceptance notifications will be sent April 10-13, 2023.

Awards include Best of Show ($800), 1st Place ($400), 2nd Place ($300), and up to four Honorable Mention awards. The juror is Scott Logan, a graphic artist and wildlife photographer. The exhibit opens May 1, 2023 and closes May 31, 2023. A virtual artists' reception is scheduled for May 6, 2023 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. PST. The exhibit will remain viewable on the SFVACC website archived exhibits page indefinitely. All sales are handled directly between artist and buyer with no commission to SFVACC.
