Call Of The Wild 2021

SFVACC (Southern California Open Regional Exhibitions) invites artists and photographers to explore their artistic relationship with flora and fauna in nature. Artwork should explore natural elements ranging from insects and birds to majestic animals. Artwork will be juried using digital images (.JPGs).

Eligibility is open to all artists and photographers worldwide. Submissions are limited to six original artworks per artist in the following media: drawing, mixed media, collage, printmaking, fiber art, photography, painting, digital art, sculpture, and assemblage. Entries must be original work of the artist's or photographer's own execution. Artwork created under direct supervision of an instructor is not eligible. Previously submitted work to SFVACC exhibits is not eligible. All juried artwork must remain online and available for sale until the end of the exhibit.

Entry fee is $35 for one artwork, with up to five additional entries at $5 each (maximum six total). Digital images must be submitted as high-resolution JPEGs (maximum 5MB), either cropped to remove background or on a black background without a mat. Entry deadline is April 6, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Acceptance notifications will be sent April 14-16, 2021. The exhibit opens May 1, 2021 and closes May 31, 2021. A virtual artists' reception is scheduled for May 8, 2021, 5-7 p.m. PST. Awards include Best of Show ($800), 1st Place ($400), 2nd Place ($300), up to four Honorable Mention certificates, and an Award of Distinction certificate selected by the SFVACC board.
