Call Of The Wild

SFVACC invites artists and photographers worldwide to explore their artistic relationship with flora and fauna in nature. Submissions may include natural elements and anything from insects and birds to majestic animals. The exhibition is open to all artists and photographers internationally.

Artwork submissions are limited to six original artworks per artist in the following media: drawing, mixed media, collage, printmaking, fiber art, photography, painting, digital art, and sculpture. No AI-generated work will be accepted. All artwork images must be submitted as high-resolution .JPEG or .JPG files (1-5MB), either cropped to remove background or on a black background without a mat. Entries must be original and of the artist's own execution. Artwork created under the direct supervision of an instructor is not eligible. Once submitted, artwork may not be substituted or withdrawn. All juried artwork must remain online until the end of the exhibit. Please do not enter art that has been shown at any previous SFVACC exhibit.

Entry fees are $40 for one artwork, with up to five additional entries at $5 each. The juror is Scott Logan, a graphic artist and wildlife photographer. Awards include Best of Show ($800), 1st Place ($400), 2nd Place ($300), and up to four Honorable Mention awards. Entry opens July 9, 2024. Acceptance notifications will be sent September 11-12, 2024. The exhibit opens October 1, 2024, with a Virtual Artists' Reception on October 19, 2024 (5:00-6:00 pm PST), and closes October 31, 2024. The exhibit will remain on view on the SFVACC website Archived Exhibits page indefinitely. All sales are handled directly between artist and buyer with no commission to SFVACC.
