Call for The Surreal

Art Scene West seeks artists working in surrealism and the bizarre to submit original 2D and 3D artwork for an exhibition running April 1st - May 27th, 2025. The gallery welcomes all mediums that challenge the viewer's mind and celebrate the absurdity of surrealism from contemporary artists worldwide. Artworks will be judged on quality, originality, intrigue, and relevance to the call.

Submission Requirements: Artists may submit 1-4 clear images of their work. All 2D hanging artwork must not exceed 30" on its longest side. Sculptures must not be larger than 16" high x 8" wide x 8" deep and must not exceed 35 lbs. A $25 submission fee is required. Selected artists will be notified between March 20th-23rd and must pay a $75 participation fee by March 24th. Artwork must be delivered to the gallery by April 4th. The opening reception is Saturday, April 5th, 2025.

Artist Information: Submit artwork title, dimensions, medium, and proposed asking price. Include a 300-word maximum artist bio (3rd person) and artist statement (1st person). Provide contact email and phone number. Art Scene West will remit 60% of sales commission to the artist and retain 40% for gallery expenses.
