Selected artists are eligible for consideration for the Peoples' Prize purchase award, selected by public vote, with one sculpture to be purchased and added to the City's public art collection. Each sculpture submitted must be available for exhibition June 2020-June 2021.

Artists may submit up to two entries, with three to five slides each. Sculptures must be made of durable materials suitable for exterior exhibition, including bronze, aluminum, steel, stone, and concrete. Work must be maintenance-free, graffiti resistant, and not present a safety risk to the public. Maximum weight is 1000 lbs with a center of gravity within 9" of the center of base plate and within 42" of the top. Artists must expect that sculptures may be climbed on or marked during exhibition. Artwork that includes advertising, logos, or is political, religious, or sexual in nature will not be considered. Sculptures should be appropriate for display in a public place with broad-based audiences of all ages.

Selected artists will receive a $700 honorarium for each loaned sculpture and must possess a City of Olympia Business license. One sculpture will be selected for purchase through public voting, with a purchase price not to exceed $10,000 inclusive of fees and taxes. The City will provide property insurance during exhibition. Artists are responsible for shipping works to and from the exhibit location. Installation takes place June 19, 2020. Work on display can be available for sale with no commission taken from artwork sold. Artists will be recognized by a plaque and artist information will be available on the City's website.
