Call for Proposals from Media Artists July-December 2009

DIVA invites media artists to submit exhibit proposals for July 2009 through December 2009. Individuals living in Oregon, or proposals that are significant to Oregon, are eligible to apply. This may include traveling exhibits that are understood to culturally enrich and/or inform the local community. DIVA welcomes a variety of proposals including installation, multi-media, time-based, performance, or other creative potential uses of their six individual gallery spaces.

Proposals must be submitted online through CaFÉ by 11:59 p.m. MST on March 3, 2009. Applicants must submit eight (8) still images of their work online and up to ten (10) minutes of supplemental video on DVD, delivered in person or by mail by 5 p.m. on March 3. Proposals should include project name/title, project description, artists' or group statement, project medium/discipline, dimensions of work, clear description of proposed use of DIVA's space and facilities, materials used, method used to prepare work for exhibit, expectations of DIVA for installation/takedown support, and indication of other regional gallery exhibitions. Initial notification will be made by email by April 6, 2009.
