Call for Proposals from Groups and Curators July-December 2009

DIVA invites groups, guilds, or curators to submit exhibit proposals for July through December 2009. Oregon-based groups or guilds, or proposals that are significant to Oregon, are eligible to apply. This may include traveling exhibits that culturally enrich and/or inform the local community. DIVA welcomes a variety of proposals including installation, multi-media, time-based, performance, or other creative uses of its six individual gallery spaces.

Applications must be submitted online through CaFÉ by 11 p.m. PST on March 3, 2009. Physical submissions will not be accepted. Applicants must submit 10 still images of past work or proposed work (in-progress). Groups should complete one application form with one designated primary contact and include a list of all participating artists. Curators should submit examples of exhibits they have curated if available. Initial notification will be made by email by April 6, 2009.

Proposals should include: project name/title, project description, artists' or group statement, project medium/discipline, estimated number of works, materials used, method of preparation for exhibit, dimensions of work, expectations of DIVA for installation support, and information about showing similar work at other galleries.
