Call for Photography - One Stop Facility, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

The Washington Pavilion Management, Inc. is seeking photography submissions for the new One Stop Facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, in collaboration with the State of South Dakota and its government agencies. Selected photographers will receive $300 per digital file for their work. WPMI will handle printing, framing, delivery, and installation of the artwork. This is a one-time licensing purchase and artists retain full copyright.

Submitted photography should reflect an uplifting, compassionate, and hopeful feeling and may reflect South Dakota's landscapes, culture, history, or community. The selection committee seeks images that reflect open spaces and breathtaking nature, iconic South Dakota locations and landmarks, and the state's diverse population. Artwork should transform the space into a warm, welcoming, empowering, and joyful environment, in keeping with the mission of the Department of Social Services to strengthen families and foster health, wellbeing, and independence.

Artists may submit up to 20 images in JPEG or JPG format. Minimum dimensions are 1,200 pixels on the longest side (1,920 pixels or greater recommended), file size under 5 MB, resolution between 72–300 PPI, and sRGB color space (recommended). Images should be clear, well-lit, and free of watermarks or distracting backgrounds. Artists are encouraged to include a brief description or statement for each image. While photographers with ties to South Dakota are prioritized, the call is open to photographers everywhere. Artwork will be reviewed by WPMI and key stakeholders from the State of South Dakota based on artistic quality, relevance to theme, and appropriateness for a professional government space. Selected artists will be notified by May 12, 2025.
