About This Call
The Georgetown Art Center is accepting proposals from artists of all mediums for the 2027 Exhibit Season. Proposals are open from January 1, 2026 through February 28, 2026, with artist notifications in mid-April 2026.
Eligibility: Artists must reside and create work in the United States. The majority of work submitted must have been completed within the last 3 years. Artworks may be in any media, provided the exhibition space can accommodate the work. Installation or work requiring special accommodations must be approved in writing prior to exhibition. Artists who have been recently accepted are asked to wait three years before submitting a new proposal.
Submissions require an Artist's Statement, CV, images of artwork, proposal statement, and image list via Submittable.com. A $45 submission fee is required; fees are non-refundable. Incomplete applications or those not following guidelines are subject to disqualification. All submissions must be received before midnight CST on February 28, 2026.
Accepted artists receive a $500 honorarium, professional exhibit installation services, printed signage and promotional materials, inclusion in press releases and season brochures, promotion through newsletter and social media, and the opportunity to teach a masterclass. The Art Center hosts an opening reception and artist talk for each exhibit. The Art Center retains 30% commission on exhibit sales with 70% returned to the artist. Artists outside Texas are eligible for additional travel stipends to be determined by the Art Center.
