Call for Exhibiting Artists

CALL FOR ARTIST PROPOSALS: 2027 EXHIBITION SCHEDULE
Waseca Art Center (WAC) is a rural nonprofit organization that offers the opportunity
for all people to understand and value the arts. Through exhibits and programs, we
present a welcoming and diverse experience that encourages questioning, creativity,
and critical thinking. The WAC has two gallery spaces which each host one exhibit
every six weeks. The WAC Exhibit Committee is seeking proposals for solo and
group exhibitions for 2027 that focus on MN subjects, agriculture, nature, and
community. Political commentary will not be considered.

There is no fee to apply.
WAC provides the reception and marketing for your event.
Our fee for gallery sales is a 30% commission. Please provide us with the total price
including our fee [i.e.: you would like $100 for a framed photograph – WAC will list
it at $130].

Artists interested in applying for a solo exhibition should submit:
• Artist Statement, one page maximum
• Short Bio | include a phone number and place of residence
• 6-10 digital images of your work that are representative of the
proposed exhibition; up to 3MB ea.
• Artists are responsible for shipping/delivery of installation-ready artwork

Artists interested in applying for a group exhibition should submit:
Phone numbers and places of residence of all members
• Short Bios of all participating artists
• Artist Statements of all participating artists
• 6–10 digital images representative of the exhibition; up to 3MB in size each
• Artists are responsible for shipping/delivery of installation-ready artwork

DUE DATE & SUBMISSION DETAILS:
Proposals are due Tuesday, September 15th by 5:00 p.m. Any submissions NOT
postmarked or delivered by the due date may not be considered.

Proposals will be reviewed immediately; notifications will be sent to artists by the end
of October.
