About This Call
The Vestibule invites submissions of new or completed work by single artists or small collectives for Decay, an exhibition exploring how we navigate and engage with the inevitable entropy of our world. The exhibition runs April 4–25, 2026.
Work included in the show should explore the theme of Decay from unexpected angles. Submissions might consider questions such as: Is there joy in degeneration? Beauty in collapse? Or a peace that comes from crumbling into dust? While the gallery is primarily looking for sculptural and installation work, all genres will be considered, and new media and unexpected formats are welcome.
The exhibition is guest-curated by Izzy Dunn, a Masters of Museology student at the University of Washington, as her thesis project. Dunn is particularly interested in mid-century and contemporary abstract art, themes explored from new angles, and unconventional kinds of media, especially work with integral elements of color.
