About This Call
Call for Ceramic Art: MNWCA 2017 Juried Exhibition
Fresh Work is open to women ceramic artists living and working in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. Both members and non-members of Minnesota Women Ceramic Artists (MNWCA) may apply. Works must be made within the last two years, with clay as the primary medium. Wall, floor, and pedestal work are accepted. Submissions should include 1-5 images (JPG files only, minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side, maximum 5.0 MB), a 1-2 page resume, and a 1-page artist statement. Entry fee is $15 for MNWCA members and $20 for non-members. Application deadline is Friday, June 30 at 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time Zone.
The exhibition will be held at the Arts Center of Saint Peter from August 18 - September 17, 2017, with an opening reception on Saturday, August 19 from 3-5 p.m. The juror is Mary Roettger, an M.F.A. graduate from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. Artist notification is scheduled for Monday, July 24. Hand delivery of work is available Sunday, August 13 and Monday, August 14, or work may be shipped between Thursday, August 10 and Monday, August 14. The Arts Center of Saint Peter provides insurance for work and retains a 30% commission on works sold. For questions, contact Eileen Cohen at [email protected].
